Lighted Ceramics: Specifications to Confirm Before Quoting

Separate the ceramic design from the lighting specification

Record the series, catalogue photo and individual item you want. Confirm overall dimensions, ceramic material, colour, finish and the appearance of any openings or translucent areas. Then ask for the lighting configuration fitted to that reference.

Compare Easter LED ceramic decorations and translucent Christmas ceramics. The category name does not guarantee that every displayed item uses the same light source or power supply.

Confirm battery type, quantity and inclusion

Specify the exact battery type and number of cells, whether batteries are included, and whether a battery isolation tab is required. AA, AAA and button-cell configurations are not interchangeable assumptions. Confirm the battery compartment, cover and fastening arrangement for the selected model.

Describe the light effect and controls

Ask about light colour, steady or flickering effect, switch position and access. If a timer is needed, state the required operating cycle and ask whether it is available for that item. Request an illuminated sample or a clear demonstration before approving the visual effect. Battery life should only be quoted with an agreed test basis.

Confirm destination-market requirements

Provide the intended sales country and product use when requesting documentation. Ask which reports apply to the actual model and lighting assembly, and confirm required product, packaging and instruction labels with the buyer. A report for a different item does not establish compliance of the selected design.

For products intended for the United States that contain or are designed to use button or coin cells, consult the CPSC button-cell guidance and confirm applicability with the buyer and a qualified laboratory. Omitting batteries from the shipment does not automatically remove requirements applying to a product designed to use them.

Protect both the ceramic body and the light assembly

Discuss protection for delicate projections, openings and the underside assembly. Confirm the individual packing, master-carton layout and any transport test specified by the buyer. For batteries included separately, clarify the required battery packing as well. Do not assume a photograph of one packed sample establishes the final carton specification.

Use a consistent quote request

Send the marked product reference, dimensions, estimated quantity per size and colour, destination, target shipment date and packing preference. Add the battery and light-effect details above. If a specification is still undecided, label it “to be confirmed” and ask for clearly separated quotation options.
